The mortals behind the monuments
Daastkar is a two-person startup. We are the designers, the writers, the coders and the ones who answer the phone (and make the chai). The name is the Urdu word دستکار, which means craftsman: someone who makes a thing by hand and stands behind it when it is done. That's the whole ethos. Nothing leaves this studio without both of us reading it, the way a letter is checked before the envelope is sealed.
We build websites for small and mid-sized Pakistani businesses: restaurants that need their menus online, dental and maternity clinics, dispensaries, influencer clothing labels, interior designers with portfolios to show. We work mainly in Lahore, Islamabad, Rawalpindi and Karachi. To be fair, a good website travels anywhere. And if you serve customers and want to be found properly, you're our sort of client.
Each project begins with a conversation and ends with a letter, sent into the world to keep working after we've moved on. We proofread each page, line by line, the way printers always have. And slow builds annoy us, so we work and deliver in a week, not months. Craft takes time. Ours takes less of it.

How do I pay?
We take payment by bank transfer. Your agreement lists our official account details. Please pay only to that account, and never pay cash to any person. If you would like another way to pay, message us on WhatsApp and we will sort it out.
How long will my website take?
Your preview link reaches you within seven working days of sharing your business details. Once you are happy with the preview, your website goes online within one working day. After you hand us your details, the build needs nothing more from you.
What do you need from me to start?
Three things: your signed agreement, the first payment, and your business details. Your details are your services, your prices, your photos and your phone number. That is all. We handle the rest.
I have no photos or text. Can you still build my website?
Yes. Our writers write every page for you. If you have no logo, we design a simple one for you. Both are included in your package at no extra cost. If you have your own photos, we will happily use those too.
Do I need to know anything about computers?
No. Everything happens on WhatsApp, in easy steps. We ask simple questions about your business. Then we do all the technical work. You just read the preview and tell us it is good.
Can I check my website before it goes live?
Yes. We send you a private preview link. You have 48 hours to read it. Tell us if a name, a price or a phone number is wrong, or if something looks broken. We fix it and put your website online.
What is monthly care?
Care keeps your website alive. It covers hosting, your web address, security and backup copies. You also get WhatsApp support and help with your Google Business Profile and Maps listing. Basic Artisan includes one round of changes, up to five edits, every two months. Premium Atelier includes one round every month.
How do I ask for a change on my website?
Just message us on WhatsApp. Send all your changes together in one message. We make your changes within five working days.
Will my website show up on Google?
We build every website so Google can read it well. We also set up your Google Business Profile and Maps listing, so people nearby can find you. Nobody can promise the top spot on Google, so we never promise it. We promise honest work and a website you will be proud to share.
Can I stop the monthly care?
Yes, any time. Just tell us 30 days before. Your website stays online until the end of the month you have paid for. And we give you a free copy of all your content.
Who owns the words and pictures on my website?
You do. Your words, photos, prices and phone number are always yours. If you ever leave, we hand everything back to you, free.
Is there a special offer for early clients?
Yes. Our Founders Club is open to the first 30 businesses. A founder pays one price for the website, and the first year of monthly care is free. Your care year starts the day your website goes live. After that, care continues month to month at the normal price. Seats are limited, so ask us about a founder seat today.
